There are bees on the roof of the Tallinn University of Technology, Innovation and Business Centre, Mektory that annually produce approx. 30 kg of quality honey. The honey produced in the city is no different from the honey produced in the country, which has been proven by the analysis ordered from the water and soil research laboratory of the Estonian Environmental Research Centre. The honey produced by the Mektory bees corresponds with all the requirements and norms, according to the analysis. Our honey sample contains 34% rose blossoms, 26% willow, 16% white clover, 6% leguminous, 5% oak, 3% cruciferous, 2% maple and linden, as well as 1% horse chestnut. The amount of heavy metals found, remains significantly below the established state norms.
